* This unique skimmer receiver is designed for the radio program or music director who wants to keep track of the music without having to monitor the station for hours on end. Jocks will know that "it's easy to monitor now"...Or... Sample hours of any local competitor in just a few minutes.

* This recorder automatically samples and records a few seconds of programming every two or three minutes, telescoping hours into minutes. Record and sample times can be changed anytime. Using the music log as a guide, the PD can quickly verify if hours of logged music was actually played.

* Use this skimmer anywhere your station (or any station) can be received.

* A 45 minute (per side) cassette tape for example will typically allow 13.5 hours of skimming when recording 10 seconds every 3 minutes. This allows the reviewing of an hour of broadcast material in slightly over 3 minutes.

* When not in skimmer mode, the receiver can be used as a standard AM/FM cassette recorder. For remote starts, a simple 24 hr AC timer will start the skimmer overnight (or for whatever start-time is desired).

The time delay is easily set with a small screwdriver and side panel adjustments. A LED verifies the timing function and aids timing setup. The cassette recorder/receiver is a Sony model CFM-10.
